Lovely Hula Hands

The beautiful thing about Hawaiian Hula is how you can not know a single word of the Hawaiian Language, but you know exactly what the dancer is telling the story about.

The power of the story is in the "Lovely Hula Hands". With your hands you can tell stories of oceans, journeys, love, loss, friendship and more.

Watch this youtube video to see what I am talking about. These girls are so young, yet they are full of confidence and grace. I love how the one in the front is so natural and so sweet. Dancing with their Hula Ohana really boosts their self esteem, and it makes me happy to see how much they love what they are doing.

If you are a parent on Oahu Hawaii to a young girl that you think would want to be like this lovely little hula dancer, please call Sanoe of Akala Dance Studio at 808-208-2300. You can enroll your daughter in Hula Lessons to learn how to use her "Lovely Hula Hands" There are special discounts if she has a friend or sister that would like to dance too.

Please tell them that "Aunty Bambi" sent you, so you can get your first Hula Lesson for Free. Aloha.

The kids who come to this studio, they really become like family. They have so much fun every week getting to dance with their fellow Hula Sisters.

The bond you have when you share something you love, it never goes away. I can speak from experience. I have my own Hula Sister who I used to dance with when I was a child. I am now 30 years old, and when I see my Hula Sister, we are still just like family. :)

Hawaii Wedding Hula

Love is in the Air!

Monday is Valentine's Day.  The official day to celebrate true love.

Valentine's Day is a really popular day for couple's to get married. I remember attending a wedding in Hawaii. It was beautiful. The bride surprised her groom with a really special Hula dance. She danced to the Hawaiian Wedding Song.

The lyrics to the typical Hawaiian Wedding song expresses a deep fondness for finding the right person. In the dance the bride is promising to love her husband forever. It is a beautiful expression of love.

I remember I danced a special Hula for my husband at my own wedding. It was very special, and my guests really enjoyed it.

If you are planning on getting married soon and you would like to dance the Hawaiian Wedding Hula for your husband, I would like to suggest you call Sanoe from Akala Dance Studio. One of her professional teachers can come to you at your home, or office, or wherever you feel most comfortable.

If you are not brave enough to dance the hula yourself, the other option would be to hire a professional Polynesian Dance Group. Akala Dance Studio has a group of lovely Hawaiian Hula Dancers that specialize in Wedding Entertainment. They can provide an authentic Hawaiian Luau Experience for you and your guests. Please call Sanoe at 808-206-2300.

Tell Sanoe you found her online.

Hawaii Dance Studio- New Video

Check out the lovely hula dancers of Akala Dance Studio

New Video for Hawaii Dance Studio

Hi Everyone!

At my Blog Hawaii Dance Studio, I like to share information about different dance studios in Hawaii. I did not know the difference between Kahiko, or Auana, or Tahitian or what. It all seemed like the same thing to me. I needed a dance studio that would not only teach me how to dance but educate me in the traditional Hawaiian customs.

I would like to recommend the studio that met my needs when I was looking for a place to take hula lessons.

Please check out their website www.akaladancestudio.wordpress.com. They list all of their classes and locations.

If you happened to find Akala Dance Studio by reading this blog, I encourage you to at least check out a class.

If you tell Sanoe that you found their studio online, she will give you your first Tahitian or Hula dance lesson for FREE!

I love how Hula is so graceful and beautiful.

If you are in Hawaii, and want to learn how to dance like these girls, then I invite you to check out a Hula dance class at Akala Dance Studio in Oahu Hawaii. Tell Sanoe, you found her online and you will get your first Hula lesson for free.

Hawaii Dance Studio

Hi Welcome to Hawaii Dance Studio. I created this blog as a resource for parents in the Hawaii area who are looking for dance classes for their children.

This blog is NOT a place for anyone to bad mouth any other local dance studio. I will be strongly recommending studios that I have personally had a good experience with.

I hope you enjoy this blog. Aloha for now.
